JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION:

Fusion Recruiters LLC, in partnership with their client, Landmark Credit Union, are seeking a Compensation Manager. This person will report to the Vice President of Human Resources and be responsible for leading the design, development, and administration of the organization’s broad-based compensation programs. The Compensation Manager will be responsible for competitive benchmarking; preparation and maintenance of pay structures; oversight, design, and execution of incentive plans; and management of Landmark’s rewards and recognition programs. This position will lead the facilitation of the annual merit cycle including merit budgeting, system set-up and testing, end-user training, execution, and audit. This role will also work closely with the HR Business Partners and business leaders regarding compensation related items such as employment offers, market adjustments, promotions, job architecture and structural design.  

REQUIREMENTS:  

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation. 
  • Proven experience managing broad based compensation programs including but not limited to pay structures design and maintenance, job evaluation and competitive benchmarking, incentive plan design and delivery, merit budgeting and execution. 
  • Demonstrated ability to consult and influence all levels of Leadership within the organization on compensation related initiatives 
  • Strong understanding of overall Total Reward philosophies and strategies 
  • Continuous learner who stays up to date on economic and industry trends as well as compensation best practices  
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination, balancing multiple priorities and managing a variety of deliverables in a high volume work environment with strong attention to detail.      
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and possess strong analytical skills.  Must have demonstrated ability to function in a variety of programs and systems as part of job responsibilities.  
  • Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and discretion in various situations while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.  
  • Must have a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position.  Must understand and comply with job related state and federal laws and regulations. 

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:   

  • Manage the organization’s broad based compensation programs such a job evaluations, incentive plans, salary structures, and annual merit process.  
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Leadership and HR Business partners with compensation related inquiries. Provide feedback and insight on job descriptions to the business so that job description can be properly evaluated.  
  • Drive the company’s pay for performance philosophy through compensation program design and Leadership education.  
  • Owns the company’s reward and recognition programs. Researches and creates programs based on the organization’s demographics, culture, and budget.   
  • Manage the job evaluation process including salary survey selection, market evaluations methodology, and recommend adjustments when necessary.  
  • Delivers the annual merit process by establishing merit budgets, creating the process in the compensation module, and facilitating communications.  
  • Works closely with Accounting and Finance to forecast total salary spend for the annual budgeting process.  
  • Consolidates and maintains the company’s sales incentives and commissions plans. Researches and provides recommendations on market conditions pertaining to total compensation practices.  
  • Works cross-functionally with the rest of the human resources, training, and communications team on organizational wide initiatives.  
  • Cross-trains with other areas in the Human Resources department.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
