JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION:

The Director Compensation and Recognition Programs will be responsible for the overall strategic design, communication and administration of the organization's compensation and recognition programs.  Applies best practice compensation strategies to provide compensation solutions designed to support business, team and leadership goals.  Acts as a consultant and lead subject matter expert in compensation based on a deep knowledge of all facets of broad-based and incentive compensation to identify future programs and practices.

REQUIREMENTS:  

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business or closely related field required. 
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Requires 7 years of broad knowledge of compensation and related human resource management.
  • Requires 5 years management experience leading staff and directing department activities.
  • Superior knowledge and understanding of total compensation programs including base pay, incentives, market pricing, job evaluation methodology and job architecture/career paths.
  • Broad understanding of the external competitive market and the regulatory and compliance environment that impact compensation practices.
  • Solid understanding of performance management, recruitment and HR generalist functions and total rewards concepts.
  • Requires project management experience; strong research, analytical and problem-solving abilities; advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to respond to management inquiries/concerns, effectively lead direct reports and communicate with a wide variety of organizational and outside personnel in gathering, exchanging and interpreting often sensitive compensation information.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proven ability to identify, resolve and/or make recommendations regarding relatively complex compensation related matters, such as sensitive market review requests, annual range structure adjustment plans, merit increases and performance evaluation. 
  • Highly organized and self-driven with a demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage and execute within changing environments and priorities while supporting cultural values and our vision. 
  • Demonstrated track record of success with the following leadership competencies: Decision Quality, Strategic Mindset, Directs Work, Drives Results, Collaborates, Communicates Effectively, Instills Trust, Situational Adaptability.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) desired.
  • Prior compensation consulting and physician compensation experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of Workday HCS preferred.
